I’d be remised if you weren’t aware of my special interests and obsessions. Here’s a short list proving I can exercise restraint and time management:
-
Specifically “Legend" with Tim Curry (seriously Legend checks all of the fantasy boxes, Unicorns, pixies, adventure, and so. much. GLITTER).
-
I’m an arts and crafter through and through. Every year for my birthday I throw a Lord of the Rings party with handmade decorations and themed food and drink.
-
See the previous bullet.
-
yes…"the one with one stick”
-
This interest has far too many layers to peel back here…much like…an onion. (If you get it we’re friends)
-
Growing food feels like magic.

“I had the pleasure of working with and knowing Jes while at Root Inc. Jes is good people. Both talented and kind, Jes will make any stranger an equal. Although Jes worked at Root much longer than I had the privilege to, they always made me feel like I was a permeant part of the creative team. The words I wrote as a copywriter always saw beauty with Jes behind the creative. Jes' talent and loyalty are unmatched. Any company would be lucky to have a person like Jes Martin on their team.”

“Companies are understanding more and more that culture, diversity and inclusion help fuel creativity and nurture healthy workplace environments for people to succeed. Jes has been an advocate and a driving force since day one. They not only cultivate spaces for ideas and voices, but produces work that is representative of true collaboration. There are some skills that are not taught, but inherent in a person's character and soul. Jes brings that magic touch to every aspect of their life, especially work.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Jes during our time together at Resource/IBM IX. They’re a powerhouse designer who brings talent, warmth, and leadership to any project they work on. They’re a bottomless pit of good ideas, and are the person I want sitting across from me in a brainstorm. But their skills don't stop at the brainstorm. They deliver on those ideas with knock out designs, present themselves articulately and thoughtfully, and makes sure their team is represented in the final piece.
Their talent speaks for itself when you see their work. But it's worth noting, Jes's personality makes their work one of a kind. They’re one of the most empathetic leaders I have had the pleasure of working with. They care for others and their team in a way that can only be felt as genuine. They’ve been the light on any team I have known them to join. Their empathy and encouragement build up their team. They not only brings their best work to the table, they bring out the best work in others.”
